The 5 Steps from Order to Confident Riding

We designed our entire experience to eliminate surprises. Here is exactly what happens from the moment you consider a mobility aid to your regular afternoon rides.

  1. Every home has unique door clearances and every body has distinct ergonomic needs. Decide between responsive 360° joystick control for tight indoor hallways (the Vantrix Wheelchair) and familiar handlebar steering for open, paved outdoor paths (the Roam Scooter).

  3. Your carrier delivers your mobility aid to your door. These are heavy items, so we strongly suggest having a family member or neighbor help on delivery day.

Delivery tip: the 60-second box check

Before signing the carrier’s handheld, take a minute to look over the outer carton for punctures or crushed corners. If anything looks damaged, write it on the signature line and email us.

  4. Unbox carefully and follow the setup steps in your manual. Before your first spin, charge the battery fully.

    First charge

Plug the battery into a household wall outlet with the supplied charger and allow 6 to 8 hours for a full charge before your first ride. Follow your manual for charging and battery care.

    Included in your order

    • Your wheelchair or scooter
    • Removable battery pack
    • Charger
    • Owner’s manual
  5. Familiarity builds freedom. Start in a flat, open indoor room or on a paved driveway, with the speed set to its lowest setting.

    1. 1
Electromagnetic brakeLet go of the joystick or throttle lever. The brake engages automatically.
    2. 2
ReversePull gently backward on the lever to practice backing away from obstacles smoothly.
    3. 3
Gentle turnsPractice 90 degree turns around open doorways at the lowest speed until it feels natural.

The 4 Measurements to Check Before Ordering

We want you to feel confident your equipment will fit your home. Take five minutes with a tape measure to review these four zones, and watch your fit report fill in.

Measure between the door frame stops at the narrowest point.

Vantrix: 24.5" wide. We recommend at least 27".Roam: 20.5" wide.

Plan who will lift it into your trunk or SUV.

Vantrix: folds to 14.0 × 24.5 × 30.5", 55 lbs without its battery.Roam: needs 42 × 22 × 20" with the seat removed; the heaviest piece is 34 lbs.

Inspect your driveway, threshold ramps and path slopes.

Max gradient: 6 degrees.Surfaces: hardwood, short-pile carpet, tile, asphalt and paved paths. Not built for deep gravel or mud.

You do not need to park the whole chair or scooter next to an outlet.

Both have a removable battery pack you can carry indoors and charge on a standard household wall outlet.

Honest assembly truth

Mostly assembled. No surprises in the box.

Your wheelchair or scooter is built to be set up by you at home, without a workshop. Here is what arrives, and the simple steps to get riding.

  1. 1
Lift out of the boxOpen the carton and slide the frame out gently. Ask someone to help, since it is heavy.
  2. 2
Set up and connectUnfold the frame, connect the controller and slide in the battery, following the steps in your manual.
  3. 3
Charge fully, then rideGive the battery a full first charge before your first ride.

The Roam separates into four pieces for transport, so it needs a little more assembly. Your manual shows every step, and you can email support@wranglei.com if anything is unclear.
