There are no handbrake levers to squeeze. As soon as you release the thumb throttle lever, the electromagnetic brake engages automatically and brings the scooter to a smooth halt without rolling backward.

Yes, within limits. The Roam handles standard ADA access ramps and gentle sidewalk grades up to 6 degrees. It is not intended for steep hills, rough gravel trails or off-road use.
